always get permission for a live stage performance
In February I received a call from a prominent literary agent in California. She told me that she had read my book and felt it had the potential to be an international best seller. I was thrilled, for I knew that she represented several successful writers. I was told that as part of the promotional efforts for “Queen of the Sun” I would need to tell my personal story. Growing up, I had not been encouraged to “promote” myself and that it was not dignified to make myself the subject of conversation. To my surprise I received a call from a well known director and script writer who informed me that with my permission he was going to use Queen of the Sun to produce a live stage performance. My book is now a best seller.
