The popularity of tattoos of dragons is no coincidence.  For some people it may be a matter of following the crowd, but the new popularity is mostly from the movies that have been produced these days based on medieval and/or fantasy stories.  Since people love to go into their own fantasy world sometimes, it makes sense that they would get dragon tattoos to keep the fantasy close.  It is a healthy way to express yourself and to keeps your fantasies and dreams alive.  Personally, I love dragons, wizards, unicorns and all the fantastical creatures from the mythical days.  You can have your own tattoo of dragon in about any design you want.
