Foreword for online studies
Many people are burdened to live on with unfulfilled scholastic or academic ambitions. They may have had to forego classes because of family circumstances or financial constraints. The perfect answer to their woes is the facility of Online Studies. The discipline of online studies has a long and chequered history. The online studies were originally known as correspondence courses. In correspondence courses, unlike in online studies, lessons were posted to students through surface mail. The students were expected to study these lessons, answer a test paper and send it back to the examiner by post. Later the name of such courses was changed into distance education.
