There is more than one type of wart. There are genital warts, mosaic warts, filliform warts, donkey warts, flat warts, plantars warts and common warts and molluscum warts. Each type of wart is caused by a different strain of the HPV virus except the molluscum wart which is caused by the molluscum contagiosum virus or MCV. Plantars warts can be very painful and are generally found on the feet. They get oxygen and nutrients from your blood. Filliform warts are found around the eyes and lips and common warts are generally on the hands and knees. Common warts tend to be raised warts.
