Electric treadmills - The belt is crucial
When buying an electric treadmill, the belt should be considered carefully. A 2 ply surface belt which is at least 17 inches wide is the absolute minimum quality belt which the treadmill should have. Another aspect of the belt is whether the treadmill is being used primarily for running or walking. A length of 48 inches is fine if only walking is going to be done but if running is the prime aim or if you have long legs, then 60 inches is required.Good quality electric treadmills will have belts which give cushioning and protect the joints.
