Lung cancer is a type of cancer the develops in the lungs. Cancer of the lung has two different forms. There is non small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Around 85% of all people diagnosed with lung cancer have non small cell lung cancer. The more aggressive type of lung cancer is small cell lung cancer and it affects about 15% of people who have lung cancer. The stage of lung cancer determines which treatment is best. Treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. However, if these treatments do not work and alternative cancer treatment is also available.
