There are many groups who need fundraising support and it can be for various reasons. Private schools will use fundraising to offset some of the tuition costs for parents while sports teams in public schools often times do not get enough funding to enable them to supply uniforms or equipment.

Then there are other clubs like drama club or chorus groups who do not get any funding at all from the school or the state and they are forced to fundraise to raise money for everything from costumes to sets to sheet music and lyrics. Fundraising serves a great purpose in the schools and it can also be a great way to draw members of the local community together. Support your local school and purchase something from the next fundraiser they hold.
