The Oriental perfume family is one of my two favorites. Even though I consider myself more of an introvert than an extrovert, and Oriental scents are thought of as powerful fragrances for confident women, I still feel this type of scent suits me. Oriental fragrances strike a balance between spiciness and sweetness, whereas fruit and floral fragrances are simply too saccharine for my liking. If the right Oriental scent is chosen, I believe this fragrance family can evoke a sense of not only brassy confidence, but quiet strength – a representation through scent, if you will, of the notion that, “Still waters run deep.”
