Prerequisite Subjects in Accelerated Nursing Programs
College graduates with non-nursing degrees who wish to pursue a career in nursing should consider enrolling in Accelerated Nursing Programs. But before they do, they should make sure they have taken and passed several subjects. These are usually subjects that are based on science: microbiology, anatomy, and chemistry are three examples. Subject requirements can vary from school to school; some schools require several semester hours of subjects such as general psychology, nutrition, and ethics. In addition, they should also have a GPA of 3.0 and they should have passed any pre-screening tests.
